Photos depict memories in life. Everyone loves to capture photos, but what is so special about photography? The types of innovations one can bring out in photography is the big deal in capturing photos. So what are some of the major types of photography?

Nature Photography:

Every person who buys a new camera or a phone would try out their photography skills first on a piece of nature. Nature photography doesn’t necessarily include only trees and plants but everything natural that appeal to the photographer’s eyes. It includes everything that exists outdoor.

Wildlife Photography:

Wildlife photography is the most challenging and the dangerous one amongst other kinds of photography as it involves capturing images of wild animals. This kind of photography requires a high level of expertise. Also wildlife photography requires a lot of patience to make the animals pose for us.

Bence Máté Nature’s Best Photography Green-crowned Brilliant Hummingbird and Green Pit Viper Santa Rita, Costa Rica Tiny, vibrantly colored hummingbirds are a favorite among wildlife lovers. Of 338 known species, roughly 50 types of these flying jewels live or breed in the tropical lowlands and cloud forests of Costa Rica, where arboreal vipers also live amid the thick foliage. “I was photographing hummingbirds when I heard the sharp, alarming noise of the birds reacting to the presence of a predator. Sixty feet away from me this green-crowned brilliant was fearlessly attacking a small viper. The long shutter speed and shallow depth of field made it difficult to make an image with both animals sharp. This encounter was one of the most interesting ones I had ever seen, and I quickly set up two flashes to increase the light and shutter speed, using one flash fired from the background and another from the camera.” Camera: Nikon D700; 300mm ƒ/2.8 lens; 1/100 sec at ƒ/4; ISO 200; Canon 540EZ flash; Canon 550EX slave; Gitzo carbon tripod; Gitzo fluid head. The technique involves capturing three different photos and merging them to provide a single image with greater contrasts. HDR requires the camera to be kept at the same position till the photos are taken.

Time Lapse Photography:

Time Lapse photography involves the photographer to click photos of a particular object at different time intervals, thereby, capturing the motion of the object.

High Speed Photography:

High speed photography involves capturing photos of high speed objects like a fast moving jet or a car. High speed photography requires cameras capable of capturing 128 frames per second or greater, and of at least three consecutive frames.

Black and White Photography:

Black and White photography generally includes photographs that are taken in black and white that depict the real beauty of the objects. Contrast and shadows go a long way in making your photos realistic and beautiful.
