Google, the company behind the Nexus brand, is rebranding its entire range to Pixel. It is not yet official but there have been numerous suggestions regarding the same. The latest leak by LlabTooFeR, the person who usually leaks HTC related updates, suggests that Google is changing the Nexus Launcher to Pixel Launcher.
He has also released the apk file of the launcher and the new wallpaper picker so that you can give a try. Google’s yet-to-release HTC manufactured phones with codenames M1 (Marlin) and S1 (Sailfish) are expected to run this Pixel launcher.
The device is also expected to run Android N (7.0) that consists of a dozen new feature improvements, including Multi-window, Vulkan™ API, Doze on the Go, VR Mode, Data Saver etc.
The Pixel launcher is super smooth and is expected to run on almost all the devices. You can get the APK from here. The file contains both the launcher and the wallpaper picker. The launcher is void of the app drawer icon on the home screen. Instead, it makes use of a swipe up gesture to open the list of apps.

The pixel launcher has a 5-column app list and so it displays five most used apps in the top. There will be the usual Google Now homepage if the app is installed in the system partition. Otherwise, we would have to wait for the official update.
Other features that are coming in Android Nougat include:
- Over 1500 emoji including 72 new ones
- Multi Locale language settings
- Quick switch between apps
- Custom Quick Settings
- Notification Direct Reply
- Bundled Notifications
- Notification Controls
- Display Size
- Seamless Updates
- File-based Encryption
