Samsung, yesterday launched their newest C Series smartphone, the Galaxy C5 with a stunning Full HD AMOLED display and Unibody design. The phone is launched in China and is expected to launch in India very soon. It comes in four different color variants; gold, silver, pink and gray.

Looking at the specifications, the phone boasts a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, thus making the screen much brighter than the competition. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core SoC takes care of the performance of the phone coupled with 4 GB of RAM. The octa-core chip has four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.2GHz.

The phone also has support for 4G bands that is used in India. On the camera front, it comes with a 16-megapixel rear snapper at f/1.9 aperture with dual-LED flash. The front camera is a 8-megapixel f/1.9 sensor, great for selfies.

The Galaxy C5 is a dual-SIM phone, a hybrid slot so you can fit a microSD instead. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor and NFC capabilities. There are two variants in terms of storage, 32 GB and 64 GB. The base model is expected to be priced around Rs. 22,000 in India. The phone has a battery of 2,600 mAh which promises 237 hours of talk time on a 4G network. It is powered by Android Marshmallow out of the box and with the specs it packs in, updates are sure to come.

The company also announced a bigger variant of C5, the Galaxy C7. C7 has a bigger screen, a faster processor than the C5 and pack in more juice too. The pricing of Galaxy C7 is not yet know.
